John "Tom" Thomas Eskew, 64, of Casper, WY passed away peacefully on August, 6th 2013 due to complications from pneumonia.
Tom was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2002 and later Multiple System Atrophy. He had been in his wife's loving care for more than 4 years. Tom's determination, good humor and love for the Lord remained throughout his battle.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, August 15th 2013 at 10:00 AM at Highland Park Community Church.
Tom was born in Gillette, Wyoming on November 11th, 1948 to Jerry and Betty Eskew. He was raised in Gillette and graduated from Campbell County High school in 1967. Tom was involved in many sports and was proud that his team won the State Basketball Championship his junior year. Tom then served honorably in the Wyoming National Guard. He and his family later moved to Casper, WY where he worked for the Chevrolet Dealership for over 30 years. Tom married Sandra Roth in 2000 and later moved to Littleton, CO after they retired.
Tom was very well known for his dedicated career and love of sports. He spent many years traveling the state, refereeing basketball and truly enjoyed every minute. His active life included coaching his boys in sports, playing softball, golfing and spending time at the Casper Water Ski Club. He loved the Denver Broncos through the good years and the bad. Tom was a dedicated husband, father, provider and friend.
Tom was a long time member of Highland Park Community Church, Paradise Valley Country Club, and the National Association of Sports Officials.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sandra; his sisters, Jerri Lynn Young and Mary Alice Lowe; his brother, Bob Eskew; his children, Troy & Dodie Eskew, Chad Eskew and Nicholas & Michelle Eskew; his step children, Leslie Akin and Shawn Akin; his grandchildren; Breck Eskew, Cobi Eskew, Matthew Wilfong, Nicole Wilfong, Maddie Eskew, Cyndey Eskew, Layna Eskew and Lilly Patton; his great grandchild; Ayva Wilfong; his first wife, Sheri and many other family members and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Betty Eskew; his brothers: Bud Eskew and Bill Eskew; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
