John Ray Duran, of Douglas, passed away Monday November 14, 2011 at Hospice in Casper, WY.
John was born in his home in Douglas on April 5, 1965. He was raised in Douglas and also attended school there. John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed working outside on cars, reading books, music, drawing, and watching wrestling. He was a very friendly happy person and enjoyed helping people.
John is survived by his two sisters, Eva Duran Lantz of Casper and Teri Young of Texas, one brother Steve Duran of Douglas, five nieces, Lena, Mistie, Laura, Maxine, and Genevieve, six nephews, Ike, Jason, Joe, Tino, Anthony, and Frank, ex-wife Pat Kaster, five step children, thirteen grandchildren and two step great grandchildren, four great nieces and nephews, Shannon, Thesha, Aaliyah, and Sophia, four brother in laws Mike Lantz, Gilbert Casias, Ronnie Young, and Robert Hall along with many more family members and friends.
John was preceded in death by his mother Genevieve Duran, his father Andy Mestas, his sister Ida Casias, his brothers Frank Duran, James Duran, and Louie Duran, his great nephew Kenny Fellon Jr., his aunts Mary Padilla and Ora Arguello, his unlces, Cholo Duran, Peno Duran, Adolph Duran, John Duran, Lee Duran, Alex Duran and Tony Padilla, his grandmothers, Ida Duran and Lucy Mestas, his grandfathers, Nick Mestas and Andy Mestas Sr., and his cousin Sam Arguello along with other family members and friends.
Services for John will be held November 30, 2011 at 10am at The First United Methodist Church on 136 S. 5th St in Douglas, Wy and will be conducted by Pastor Linda Wells.
