January 14, 2017: On a bright blue, calm and warm Wyoming winter morning John "Jack" Borron decided it was time to take his last steps here, loaded the boat and moved onto the big fishing hole in the sky. Where the water is always calm and the bite is always on.
Jack was the youngest of six children born to Robert "Brooks" and Huldah Borron on May 30, 1937. Jack was raised and grew up in Cody, Wyoming before moving to Casper.
In 1970 he married Faye Hopkins and together they melded two families into one. Jack worked as a journeyman electrician with various companies before he worked his way up to be an estimator and project manager for Modern Electric from which he retired from in 2002.
Jack leaves behind Faye, his beloved wife of 46 years, children Tana, Troy, Mike, Patty and Tara (and spouses); 6 grandchildren and two great grandchildren to be born soon.
At his request, no funeral services are planned. A celebration of life will be planned to take place in late May, around what would have been his 80th birthday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Central Wyoming Hospice, Rocky Mountain Oncology Center, or your favorite charity in his name.
The sky is blue, the lake is calm, the bait is fresh and the bite is on. A perfect day for fishing.
