Life History:
John attended school in Sacramento before serving in the Army in Germany during WWII.
He married Hazel Larene Thomas on May 3, 1947, in Yosemite National Park. Following his discharge,
John and Hazel moved to Glenrock, and he resided there for 59 years. John worked
for Continental Oil Refinery in Glenrock until it closed, then at the Texaco Refinery in Casper until he
retired.
John belonged to the Odd Fellows, VFW, American Legion and the Wyoming Writers Guild. His hobbies were reading and writing about history. He was honored as a volunteer by the town of Glenrock in 2005
and also served as the Deer Creek Days Parade Marshall
