CASPER -- Services for John Frank Bolinger, 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Fr. Kevin Koch celebrant. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
Rosary will be recited from 6 to 7 p.m., today at Newcomer Family Funeral Home.
He died Nov. 18, 2007, in Casper.
He was born July 2, 1921, in Lodgepole, Neb., the son of Charles Bolinger and Elsie Billeter Bolinger. He attended schools in Lodgepole and Casper. He married the love of his life, Helen Deplanty, July 2, 1941.
He was inducted into the U.S. Navy in 1944 and was a sharpshooter and POW guard.
After an honorable discharge from the Navy, he was employed by Kistler Plumbing and Heating for 39 years as a journeyman plumber. He was the first apprentice plumber licensed in Casper and was known for his expert lead piping.
After his retirement he was a school crossing guard at Fairdale School for 10 years.
He was a very caring, giving, loving family man, always willing to help anyone who needed help. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his daughters, Connie Neal of Casper and Toni Garrison of Douglas; his sister, Alice McKelvey of Benson, Ariz.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
