John Phillip Archuleta of Evansville, WY passed away December 13th, 2023 at the age of 81. He was born in Riverton, WY on April 8th, 1942 to Amadeo Archuleta and Petra Herrera Archuleta Martinez.
John grew up working at an early age in the farm fields of northern Colorado with his family. This instilled a work ethic that stayed with him throughout his life. He held a variety of jobs but most of his career was spent as an oilfield laborer. Even though he was a hard worker, that never stopped him from having fun. He had an adventurous life that was evidenced by the stories that him and his family would love to share.
John loved anything with an engine and wheels and enjoyed working on vehicles. He was a shade tree mechanic that could make anything run. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and owned several throughout his life. He was the type of person that always needed something to do. Among the things he would do to pass the time was with projects around the house, thrifting, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
John will be greatly missed by many.
John is survived by Sisters; Mary Barraza and Maryanne Parra. Children; Rudy Archuleta, Ruby Lopez, Lynda Archuleta, John Archuleta II, Carl Archuleta and Trudy Archuleta.
John has 20 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents; Amadeo Archuleta and Petra Herrera Archuleta Martinez. Brothers; Robert, Frank, Johnny, Maggie, Bonnie, George, Tino, Joe and Jim. Sisters; Gloria, Evelyn, Beatrice and Susan.
