Jerald "Jerry" Francis Seitz Jerry Seitz was born on August 26th, 1963 in Los Angeles, CA. At 6 months he was brought home by his loving parents, Paul and Carolyn Seitz. He was raised Catholic and went to St Bernadine Catholic School. Jerry grew up with a love of the ocean and the California desert and remembered them often. For a period in his life, Jerry was living on the streets and had lost his way to drugs. One day he looked up and asked God for His help. That next week he came to Casper, Wyoming and was stranded at The Central Wyoming Rescue Mission. The Rescue Mission helped him get his life back on track. He decided that he wanted to help others become clean and sober also. First he earned his GED, then to Casper College and then the UW outreach program. He was proud of his Bachelors Degree in Social Work and Addictionology. He started working at the Central Wyoming Counseling Center and he loved what he did. Jerry met his wife, Amanda, at while working at CWCC and they had such a beautiful and deep connection. They were married August 23, 2008. During their marriage, Jerry became ill with a liver disease and received a liver transplant in March 2009. The disease, however, proved to be stronger than originally thought. Jerry lost his battle on May 5, 2010. He was a wonderful man with a large heart. He had a spark to him that would draw people to him. Jerry is survived by his wife, Amanda Seitz; mother and father, Carolyn and Paul Seitz of California; his brother, Jeff Seitz of Hawaii; his sisters, Christine Hoffman-Meder and her husband, Tom, of Nevada; Catherine Nichols and her husband, Pierce, of Washington; Nieces, Courtney of Arizona and Cari Hoffman of California; nephew, George Nichols of Washington; and many cousins and friends in California. A memorial service was held at Newcomer Funeral Home on May 7, 2010 by Carl Wolosin of Casper. In attendance were jerry's wife and family friends and many of the people whose lives were touched by his warm and loving spirit.
