Jennie Alberta Wilson of Casper passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 29, 2016. She was born January 22, 1927 in North Bend, WA to Lawrence and Louisa McQueen.
She met and married Clifford R. Wilson while he was stationed in Port Angeles, WA. In 1946 they moved to Casper, where they raised their four children. Jennie was a homemaker until going to work as a nurse's aide at Natrona County Memorial Hospital in 1968, retiring around 1988.
She was a member of the BPO Does for many years. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, crocheting, knitting, baking, ceramics, attending John Japp Auctions and shopping. Her greatest treasures were found traveling the world with friends and family. Because of her fun loving, vivacious character, no one was ever a stranger. Her beautiful smile would light up a room!
Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and her oldest son Clifford W. Wilson.
She is survived by her children, Jenny Wilson of Las Vegas, NV, Cathy McCarrel (Ken) of Yuma, AZ, and Robert Wilson (Jean) of Evansville, WY; her grandchildren, Cliff Wilson (Rose) of Las Vegas NV, Andy McCarrel (Denise) of Japan, Michael McCarrel (Elizabeth) of Boise, ID, Chris Wilson (Christine) of Las Vegas, NV, Angie Wilson-Birkle of Evansville, WY; 15 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bob McNamara officiating. A reception will be held in the dining room of the Casper Elks Lodge following the services. Memorials may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice.
