Jeff Johnson, 69, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away May 15, 2024.
Jeff was the son of Josephine Bueltel and Charles Johnson. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Grandview High School in 1973. Jeff worked at the Casper Sinclair Oil Refinery for 30 years. He raised two stepdaughters, Kristie Dwinell and Brandy Klinzman, with his first wife, Edie. They had a daughter together, Sarah.
Jeff married Michele Johnson in September of 1990. Jeff’s mother, Jo, introduced Jeff to Michele, for which they are forever grateful. Jo was a strong, single parent who supported and raised her four children, which was not an easy task (based on stories told). To this day, the siblings are close. Jeff then had another stepchild to raise, Jonathan. Jeff was Jon’s real dad, though. Jeff and Michele had a son together, Jordan. Jeff gained another daughter, Melissa, when she married Jon. Jeff was a loving father and was so proud of his children. He made sure his children were raised in the church and that they knew our Father God. Blessings were said at meals, and his strong faith was evident every day of his life. Jeff was not afraid to speak his mind, which sometimes made Michele cringe. He also had a great sense of humor. Even in his last days, he managed to make us laugh.
Jeff liked music, the guitar, and motorcycles. He enjoyed playing and listening to music with his brother Kenny and brother-in-law Mike. He loved his critters, Waldo the cat and Hazel the dog, and his Golden Retrievers in the past. He was a hospice volunteer for eight years, and that was very fulfilling for him after retiring. He loved the water. He was fortunate to spend time on the ocean with his father in his childhood. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating at Alcova, Pathfinder, and Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. He loved taking the kids to the Lake in Missouri on family vacations. He had many good memories of camping, boating, Sturgis, and having a beer with his friends.
He is survived by his wife Michele. Son Jonathan, and his wife Melissa. Son Jordan and his girlfriend Leanne. Daughter Sarah and her husband Mike. Two grandchildren, Michael “Mo” as Jeff called him, and Molly. They were the joy of his life. Stepmother Margaret Johnson. His stepdaughters, Kristie and Brandy. He is also survived by his brother Kenny Bueltel, sisters Ann Rose and Cathy Zehsing, brother-in-law Mike Modrcin, brother Bill Johnson, sister Charlea, step-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
Jeff was able to die at home with the loving care of his family. We will miss you so much.
Donations can be made to Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions. His family will hold a celebration of life this summer in Missouri. At a later date, a mass will also be held at Holy Family Church.
