Jeanette Ellen Miller, 85, died August 3, 2019 surrounded by her family after a long-standing illness. Jeanette was born August 13, 1933 to Ferd and Virginia Gansel in Hill City, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Richard Gansel, and her husband, Lee. She is survived by 2 sisters, Virginia Marie Cafferty and Phyllis Slocombe and 2 brothers, Bert Gansel and Buddy Gansel, three sons, Mike (Pam) of Casper, Dinty of Casper, and Jerry (Cindy) of San Marcos, TX, six grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Jeanette graduated from high school in Colorado Springs and studied business at Colorado College. While living there, she met the love of her life, Lee. Lee and Jeanette were married in 1952 and moved to Casper, WY shortly after to raise their family.
Jeanette had a passion for art and owned a store called The House of Replica that was connected to the old Wonder Bar. Lee and Jeanette owned Miller Apartments and she also worked the election polls.
She devoted her life to serving others and volunteered at many different places to include being the President of the Ladies of the Petroleum Club, the Senior Center, the library, and Meals on Wheels. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family especially her great-grandkids. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and delicious cinnamon bread.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wed., Aug. 7, 2019 at Newcomer Casper Chapel. Memorials can be made to Central Wyoming Hospice in Jeanette's name.
