Jean E. Schultz

February 20, 1926 — June 29, 2019

Born in Santa Monica, CA on February 20, 1926, daughter of Richard and Ella McLean, Jean was raised on the beaches of Hueneme and Santa Monica, pursued a nursing degree at UCLA. A chance encounter during WWII on the ice rink with Navy Seaman Robert Schultz, led to a June '48 wedding, then two finishing years for Bob in Laramie.

Casper became their home, Bob working for PP and L, built their house as the children arrived.

Jean concentrated on raising five children with on-the-job training in cooking, gardening, sewing, and nurturing. After Bob's retirement, Jean continued her job; cooking, gardening, etc. Time off was Alcova fishing, Big Horn camping, skiing with Bob, and volunteering for Meals-On-Wheels.

Jean's kitchen always exuded aroma of fresh baked bread, her home adorned with her handiwork, sewing outfits for all. Jean's home was her world. When Bob's health diminished, Jean provided and nurtured for her spouse of 68 years. Fulfilling their goal of remaining in their home, she passed on June 29.

Preceded in death by parents, brother, sister, husband and son.

She is survived by her children, Richard, Robert, David, Marianne, and Jonathan; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

No services are planned.

Memorial contributions to donor's discretion were Jean's wishes.
