Janice Lee Germon
With sad hearts we announce the sudden passing of Janice Lee Germon, 59. She died after a brief illness at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in Las Mesa, California, on January 31, 2014. Janice was born on October 31st, 1954 in Casper, Wyoming. Daughter of Al and Dorothy Germon.
Janice lived with her family in Casper, Wyoming and then moved to San Diego where she resided at the Home of Guiding Hands. In 1997 a group home, the Germon House in Santee, California was dedicated. This is where she spent the rest of her life.
Janice loved music and dancing, visits with her family members, her time at Alcova Lake, and reading to her roommates. She took several trips with her friends to Nevada, various places in California, and Hawaii. She loved her camps and conferences. She enjoyed going to work and Special Olympics.
Janice was a very special person. She made everyone she encountered feel loved. Her smile and laughter were contagious.
A Celebration of Janice's life was celebrated at the Germon House in California on February 4, 2014. She will be buried at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery with her parents. She is survived by family members Judy Villeneuve (Michael), Joanne Germon (Tom McGeorge), Jim Germon, and Jeanne Parmenter (Rick). She loved her nephews and nieces, Riel and Dylan Villeneuve, Matt Parmenter, Kalie Parmenter and Morgan McGeorge. She will be missed by all.
