Services for Janette Cardenas will be held at 2:00 PM., Saturday May 9, 2009 at
Newcomer Funeral Home.
She passed away on April 28, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 7,1941 to William and Edith Wolfe in Hulette, Wyoming. She was raised at Devils Tower and later moved to Casper Wyoming.
She married Carroll Manning on March 29, 1958. They brought four children into the world from their union. She later married the love of her life, Mike Cardenas on December 23, 1976. They raised their graddaughter Chasity and she brought much joy to their lives. Janette loved her family and spending time with them. She' loved traveling and especially loved spending the winter months in Yuma Arizona. She enjoyed planting flowers in her yard, shopping, collecting humming birds, and decorating her home. But most of all she loved life. She was forgiving and didn't judge people. If she loved you she simply loved you for life. She was a warm, loving woman with a wonderful sense of humor who will be missed by all who knew her. She had a contagious laugh and a smile for everyone. We will miss her hugs and kisses that she so unselfishly gave to us. But most of all we will remember her strength and as she fought to stay with us as long as she possibly could.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, her children, Donna (Gino) Fasula, Carroll (Teri) Manning, Sandra Manning, and Chasity Flores, step children, Timothy (Barb) Cardenas, Michael (Jeannie) Cardenas and Judy ( Kevin) Cardenas, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Sisters, Dorothy (Bill), Patsy (Doug), Barbara (Max), and brothers Charlie (Kathy) and Billy Ray.
She was met in heaven by her parents, her beloved son Brian Manning her dog Ginger and several other relatives.
Donations to Amedisys Hospice of Casper would be appreciated.
