Janet Louise Peck passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 in Casper, Wyoming after a lengthy illness. She was born on April 5, 1960 in Riverton, Wyoming to William James Peck and Beverly Jean Poole. She was a sister to Rhonda Trimmer, Peggy Martin, and James Patrick Peck. Janet had four sons, including James Douglas Peck, Michael Lee Peck-Jacobs, Paul Joseph Peck, and William Derrick Jacobs. She also had two grandchildren, Ashton Scott Jacobs and Damion Gordon Hildrith.
She worked in the retail industry for many years and then was a caregiver at the Wyoming Life Resource Center until her health became a concern. Janet will be remembered by her family and friends as a caring, fun-loving, and spirited woman. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by sons Paul of Casper, James of Lander, and Derrick of New Mexico; sisters Rhonda and Peggy of Lander; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Janet was preceded in death by her father, mother, her brother "Pat," and son Michael.
Cremation has taken place. A service will be held on Saturday, August 9, in Sinks Canyon, outside of Lander. Following the service, there will be a potluck luncheon. Please send condolences in Janet's name to the Newcomer Funeral Home at 710 E. 2nd Street or the website, www.newcomerfamily.com.
