Jane Ellen Parker died suddenly at her home in Glenrock, Wyoming on April 3, 2015. She was born on April 26, 1941 to William and Genevieve Hoffman in Berkeley, California. She attended school there, graduating from Mt. Diablo High School in 1959.
Jane married Robert Cielinski, and together they had three beautiful children, Arlene, Jim and Steve. She loved her children dearly and worked hard to make their lives rich and full of adventure. The most important aspect of her life was her dedication to, and sacrifices for, her children.
Jane later met Al Parker, the love of her life, and they were married in Laughlin, Nevada on June 14, 1994. Jane and Al made their home in Bullhead, enjoying many adventures such as sand-railing and teaching line-dancing. Jane was a very accomplished dancer her entire life. Al passed away on February 8, 2001.
After Al's death, Jane returned to Glenrock to be closer to family. She built the home of her dreams, where she tended tirelessly to her garden. Jane filled her home with her marvelous collectables from all corners of the world, creating a special place that was to see many wonderful family gatherings. Jane was an amazing cook and her specialty was her famous pies. If you ever had the pleasure of having a slice, you would never forget the taste. Jane also baked many specialty cakes for her family and she loved nothing more than making her grandmother's sugar cookies with her children. Grandma Jane loved teaching and sharing the family traditions with the "little ones". Jane was a loving and generous friend and family member who will be forever missed. She loved to do little things every day that made her families' lives richer.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents and husband Al Parker. She is survived by her daughter Arlene Jackson (Steve), of Glenrock, sons Jim Cielinski (Sue), of London, England, and Steve Cielinski (Melanie), also of Glenrock. She is survived by her brother Bill Hoffman (Jane), of Savannah, Georgia. She was also blessed with six grandchildren - Blake, Cammie, Chelsie, Christopher, Katie, Molly, Devin and Cyera, as well as seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her many friends and relatives, and by her friends, co-workers, and customers of Home Depot.
A private family celebration of life will take place. There will be an open house on Thursday, April 9, between 3:00 and 6:30 P.M., at Jane's beautiful home at 700 Sunshine Lane in Glenrock.
