It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Jim Soper, our beloved husband, father, grandpa, and friend who passed away unexpectedly from surgical complications on April 12, 2022. Jim was born in Casper in 1959. Jim graduated from Natrona County High School in 1977. He enlisted in the Navy in July, 1977 and served our country for 20 years, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer.
Jim married his wife in 1981, and they recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. Jim and Trina raised their children: Doug, Shauna, Kendell, and Keith in Casper while enduring many military deployments.
Jim retired in 2020 from API, Casper after 24 years of employment. Jim loved to fish, camp, hunt and travel.
Jim will be remembered as a man who enjoyed good conversation and made friends all over the world. Above all, Jim especially loved his children and grandchildren, spending as much time with them as he could.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Trina; his children, Doug Soper and Cindy Morstad; Shauna and Gary Durham; Kendell and Tanner Keller; and Keith and Jennifer Brown; 5 grandchildren, Lucas, Anastasia, Grey, and twin grandsons arriving soon.
