James Loomis

December 23, 1953 — July 19, 2016

James N. Loomis, 63, died July 19, 2016. A celebration of his life will be 1:00 pm, Monday, July 25, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel, 710 East Second, Casper with a visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Casper.

Jim was born April 23, 1953, son of Nelson and Betty Loomis in Lansing, Michigan.

In 1982 he married Donna Hellander, they were married for 34 years. He was a graduate of Kelly Walsh High School. He worked at the City of Casper until his retirement. He was also a carpenter most of his adult life.

Jim enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting, camping and rock collecting.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; daughter, Buddy Loomis of Arizona; father, Nelson Loomis; brother, Allen Loomis and sister, Schlee Smythe & her husband Todd.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Betty J. Loomis; son, Timothy James Loomis and brother, Scott B. Loomis.

He will always be remembered with love.
