James "Jim" Lemp, 62, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away August 14th, 2019 at Central Wyoming Hospice. He was born October 26th, 1956 in Hardin, Montana to Antonia and Arthur Lemp. When you think of the term "rough neck," Jim's face should come to mind. Jim spent the majority of his life working in the oil field. he met the love of his life Sue Ann Sergeant and after 10 years of dating they married on August 13th, 1997. Jim played a huge role in Sue's children's and grandchildren's lives. They moved to Texas, Montana, Utah, North Dakota, Louisiana, and then finally came back home to Wyoming. He had a love for his family, motorcycles, the Denver Broncos, and American Bald Eagles. Some would describe him as bear-like: he had a very crabby, hard exterior and a sarcastic personality, but he was loving nonetheless and you could win him over with a back scratch or plate full of biscuits and gravy.
He is survived by his mother Antonia Nield of Casper; his step-daughter April Castle and her children Elizabeth, Corrie, and Devon, and their children, all of Utah; his step-daughter Tish Weaver of West Virginia; his sisters Deborah Fleming and Cindy Pater, and brothers Cloyd Lemp and Dean Lemp, all of Casper; as well as many, many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Arthur Lemp; his wife Sue Ann Lemp; and his nephews Christopher Pater and Decklyn Dean.
After funeral costs have been met, the family asks that any donations be given to Central Wyoming Hospice.
