James Gordon Faul, born December 20, 1934 in Ward County, North Dakota passed away on May 4, 2015 in Casper, Wyoming. He last resided in Thermopolis, WY but spent several years in Gillette & Wright previous to this move and touched many lives.
He entered the Army in 1957 and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. James married Ines, while on leave, on April 27, 1958 and together they had two daughters, Brenda and Barbara.
After being Honorably Discharged in 1959, they moved to North Dakota where he was working as a truck driver. In 1963, the family moved to Washington, where he began working in the logging industry. In 1976, the family moved to Wyoming where he began working for the mines with different companies. Eventually, he began a career with Peabody Energy from which he retired from. He loved driving those over-sized trucks and took great pride in everything he did.
James is survived by his children: Barbara (Steven) Jacobs of Casper, WY; and Brenda (Jim) Thomson of Rock Springs, WY. His grandchildren: Kayla Baker, Nicholas Jacobs and Natalie Jacobs all from Casper, WY. His brother: Kenneth (Bonnie) Faul; his sister Evelyn Reinholdt from Longview, WA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, August & Martha Faul; brother Arlo Faul; sister Gerene Holliday and granddaughter Ashley Baker.
Services for James will be May 16, 2015 at the VFW Post 9439 in Casper, WY at 2:00pm where he will receive Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Central Wyoming Hospice where he received exceptional care.
