James Emmett Forsling died Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Life Care Center of Casper.
He was born December 23, 1925 in Casper, WY. The son of John W. and Irene (Duffin) Forsling. He was raised and educated in Casper, graduating from NCHS in 1943. Forsling then enlisted in the U.S. Navy.
He later continued his education at Regis College in Denver, CO and graduated from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.
James and Patricia Forsling were married August 10, 1955 in Laramie, WY. They made their home and raised their family in Casper, WY.
Forsling was employed by WNB for 30 years. He retired as a vice-president in the installment loan department in 1987. He also engaged in a cow-calf operation in the Bessemer Bend area until moving to town in 1992.
He is survived by his daughters, Catherine Forsling of Casper, WY and Linda Yaniger of Benecia, CA and her son Jim; and a son, Peter Forsling of Juneau, AK and his wife, Suzanne and their children Heather, Eamen, Sean, Seth, Ben and Brendan; and three nieces, Cathleen Sheppard and Christine Casterline of Casper, WY, and Jan Yarnot of Sacramento, CA. He was especially close to his cousins, Nancy Shovlain and Susie Quinn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Forsling.

A Rosary Vigil will be held for Jim at 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Friday, February 21, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery with Military Honors.
