Jacqueline Elaine (Link) Darnall, 81, of Glenrock, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 24th, 2017.
Jacque was born in Mason City, Iowa on March 11th, 1936 to Emery and Merry Link. When she was 16, she moved to Casper and then graduated from Natrona County High School in 1954. She married Don Darnall the same year, after a chance meeting on the very last day of his senior year. After having three children, Jacque moved to Glenrock in 1964, where she resided for another five decades. Her and Don were married almost 63 years.
When she wasn't cooking from scratch, traveling, gardening, sewing, painting, or doing other arts and crafts, Jacque spent much of her time involved in her church family. She attended the Assemblies of God churches in both Glenrock and Casper, and was an active member of the Women's Ministries. Her faith in God was the cornerstone of her life and she guided her family with principles that reflected that devotion.
To her family, Jacque was a diplomat and always the "adult in the room." Her ability to resolve conflicts and show others the merits of her ideas was invaluable, and she was the very bedrock of her family. After the passing of their daughter and son-in-law, Jacque and Don took in their three children, all under ten years old, and raised them in Glenrock. She devoted the majority of her life to the raising of her children and grandchildren, who loved her for her commitment to their future and wellbeing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Merry Link; her husband, Don Darnall; John and Darla (Darnall) Luft; and her nephews Matthew Darnall and Randy Hubbell.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Dan and Sherri (Richards) Darnall; Marty and Valerie (Darnall) Leischer; the children of her late daughter whom she raised and their spouses: Justin and Trisha (Robey) Luft; Ben and Andrea (Luft) Barker; Jennifer (Luft) Donnelly; her sisters Yvonne Hubbell and Ramona Ratterree; nine other grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three nieces and four nephews.
A viewing will be held at Newcomer Casper Chapel from 5 pm to 7 pm on Sunday, December 3rd. Services will be held at Faith Assembly of God in Casper at 10 am on Monday, December 4th followed by burial at Highland Cemetery.
