Life History:
He joined the Navy October 1940.
He was a first class gunnersmate aboard the USS Salt Lake City and the USS Loffberg from 1940 until 1946.
After the military, he worked on the Railroad .
He worked for Texaco Refinery in Casper until he retired. Then after he retired, he worked part-time for US Welding in Casper.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
He met his wife Margaret while he was in the military and to that union of 33 years there were four children, Janet, Jacquelyn, Guy and John C.
His hobbies were hunting, camping, working on cars.
He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fixing anything.
His military career was very important to him.
