Jack MacRae, of Glenrock,Wyoming passed away July 6,2016 in Greeley,Colorado where he had been residing since 2015.
Jack Duncan MacRae was born November 30, 1932 in the Midwest Hospital in Midwest, Wyoming. The son of John and Annabella Murray MacRae.
He attended schools in Midwest and graduated from Midwest High School in 1950. He then attended North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota for two years. After graduation he returned to Midwest, Wyoming and worked for Pan American Oil Company from 1952 - 1960. He was in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 during which time he served in Korea. In 1960 he went to work for PP&L in Glenrock, Wyoming at the Dave Johnson Power Plant. He continued to work there until his retirement in 1990.
He was married to Ruby Knight on May 7, 1962. They lived in Casper until 1964 and then moved to Glenrock, Wyoming. He was a member of the Glenrock Masonic Lodge and was the Associate Guardian of Job's Daughters Bethel #21 Glenrock from 1980 until 1984. He was a member of the VFW and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. For many years he worked each summer at the Wyoming Bible Camp in Lander, Wyoming. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Casper, Wyoming and Longmont, Colorado.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, his brother, John Norman, and his wife, Ruby in 2015.
He is survived by his daughter, LeeAnne Patton (Richard) of Milliken, CO; son, David MacRae (Wendy) and granddaughter, Rachael all of Las Vegas, NV.

A visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at Church of Christ, 2234 E. 2nd Street, on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM with a reception to follow at the church. A private interment will take place at a later time.
