Life History: He was raised in southwest Wyoming. Attended high school in Evanston, WY.
Enlisted in the Navy in 1944 and served on the USS Oklahoma City CL91.
Was with the pacific fleet when Japan surrendered and was then put on guard duty until he was discharged in June of 1946.
Attended college at the University of Wyoming as a Mechanical Engineer where he met Melba Taylor
And they were marred at St. Matthew's Cathedral in Laramie on March 6, 1947.
Moved to Casper in 1950 and he work as a mechanic for Catapiller.
He then went to work for the Johnston Power Plant and moved to Glenrock in 1963 until retirement.
Belonged to the Masons, was a shriner,
Loved to hunt, fly fishing .
After retiring he became a skilled wood-worker
He and Melba traveled around the country attending The USS Oklahoma City reunion every year. He was
considered a plank owner because he was one of the original crew which commissioned the vessel..
