Irma Ruth Cheesbrough
Irma Cheesbrough, 91, passed away on March 22, 2006, in Fort Collins, CO. Memorial services will be Monday at 11:00 am at Christ United Methodist Church, 1868 S. Poplar St., Casper, WY. Interment will be at Wyoming Memorial Gardens following a luncheon at the church after the memorial service.
Irma was born June 14, 1914 in Bartlette, Ohio. She graduated from Athens High School and Ohio University. Irma lived and worked in Athens Ohio before moving to Casper, Wyoming in 1946. There she met her husband Allen and was married August 8, 1949 in Laramie, Wyoming. She worked for the U. S. Department of Agriculture until retiring in 1966 to raise her family.
Irma was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church and was a very active member. She enjoyed rock hunting with friends and traveled many miles in the hills of Wyoming. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and especially liked vacations to Yellowstone Park. She and her husband traveled in an RV to spend the winter months in Arizona. There, with friends from The Good Sam Club, she and Allen whiled away the winters until returning to Caper in the springtime. In 2002 she and her husband moved to Fort Collins, Colorado to be near their son Mark.
Irma was preceded in death by her parents George and Rose Greenawalt, her sister Edith Camery, and her son Gregory. She is survived by her son Mark and two grandchildren.
