CASPER -- A private celebration of life for Imogene Larsen, 78, will be held at a later date.
She died Sept. 27, 2007, at Central Wyoming Hospice Home.
She was born Nov. 4, 1928, in Woodward, Okla., the daughter of Albert Hopkins and Ida Frances (McDowell) Hopkins.
She received training at the University of Wyoming and attained her license as
a licensed practical nurse in 1969.
She worked as an LPN in Laramie, Junction City, Kan., San Francisco and Colorado Springs, Colo. After her retirement, she had many hobbies including reading, gardening, crocheting and
amateur radio. She taught herself to play the guitar, mandolin, banjo and fiddle, playing old time country music for her own enjoyment.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Spackman, Casper; a son, Charles Larsen, Newell, S.D.; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Albertine Fultz and a nephew.
Memorials may be sent to Central Wyoming Hospice, 319 S. Wilson, Casper, 82601.
Newcomer Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
