Hobart B Harden (H. B. Harden Jr.)
Casper attorney, H. B. Harden Jr. died Sunday December 16, 2018 at the age of 96 years old.
He was born November 7, 1922 in Chicago IL to Hobart B. Harden Sr. and Ana Harden. He was the youngest of four children.
After graduating from law School from the Univ. of Illinois in 1948, Hobe moved to Casper where he joined his brother, Curtis Lee Harden and began the Harden and Harden law Firm.
Hobe had a distinguished career as an attorney which spanned over 60 years, including serving as the Casper City Attorney from 1971 until approximately 1988.
Hobe had a great love of the Wyoming outdoors and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, golf and bowling. He also restored several classic 1930's Cord automobiles. He was a member of the Elks and Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Betty Jane, mother Ana, father Hobe Sr., sisters Althea and Dorothy, and his brother and best friend, Curtis Lee.
Hobe is survived by two children, Hobart B. III, (Sue) of Minneapolis, Richard L., (Jane) of Casper and four Grandchildren, Lawrence and Richard of Minneapolis, Catherine of Casper and Michael of Topeka Kansas, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Newcomer Casper Chapel, 710 East 2nd Casper on January 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at Wyoming Ale Works, 5900 East 2nd Casper.
