She was born in a sod house in Nebraska
Her mother died of scarlet fever when she was ten, and with her being the oldest, she helped to raise her brothers and sisters with the help of various relatives and friends.
She married E. Dwight Beard in 1931, the man she had a "schoolgirl crush" on after meeting him at church in Longmont, Colorado.
Together they pastored at the Assembly of God Church's in Berthoud, Colorado, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Loveland Colorado
In 1949 they came to Casper an pastored at First Assembly of God
From 1972 until 1985 she participated with her husband who was the Superintendent of the Wyoming District of Assemblies of God . They finished out their ministry at Casper Faith Assembly of God Church.
