Life History:
She was born June 8, 1931 to Frank and Mary (Drahos) Pospisil on the family
farm outside Mount Vernon/Lisbon Iowa. She attended grade school at Rosedale #4, a
one-room schoolhouse in Iowa farm country. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School. She was active in Music and won All-State Honors for her solo singing. She
sang at numerous weddings and funerals.
After graduation in 1949, she moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she met her
husband of 53 years, Ray. They were married on October 3, 1953 after he returned from military service.
She worked as a secretary for Midland Industries until her husband was transferred to Casper in early 1957. She ran a successful business from her home until she retired in 1990.
They had six children: Cindy (Terry) Clarke of Orlando, FL; Ray (Jill) Bader of Casper; Mary (David) Johnson of Lake Elmo, MN; Don (Julie) Bader of Henderson, NV;
and Julie (Mark) Shumate of Winter Haven, FL. Teresa was born in 1977 and died shortly after birth.
She is survived by her family and 14 grandchildren, three sisters and a brother. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and a member of St. Joseph's Circle until her health failed in later years.
