Gwendolyn Jane Baker, of Glendo, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 after suffering a stroke on April 23, 2024.
She was born to the late Glenn Baker and Bernice (Lindy) A. Baker, November 18, 1936 in Casper, WY. Gwen graduated from Midwest High School in 1954 and graduated from Central Business College in Denver. She married Donald Gene Hendricks in Midwest, WY on March 18, 1955. They had recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Gwen lived and worked in many towns in Wyoming during her life, following Don with his work.
One of Gwen’s favorite jobs was her years working at Wyoming State Fair. Her most enjoyable hobby, when not working – fishing with her husband and close friends – Bob & Twila Miler.
Gwen is survived by two children: Sherri Lynn Jackson, of Douglas and Christopher Hendricks (Janel) of Wilson, OK. She is also survived by 1 granddaughter, 2 great grandsons,1 great granddaughter and 1 great great granddaughter. Niece Christy Wright of Redding, CA and Nephew, Thomas Baker (Victoria) of Cheyenne, WY. She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn & Bernice Baker and brother, John B. Baker.
No formal services are planned. A memorial will be held at a later date.
