Gregory L. Adams

March 5, 1947 — January 11, 2022

It is with profound sadness that the family of Gregory Lawrence Adams announces his passing on January 11th, 2022 at the age of 74 years.

Greg was born to the late Lawrence Adams on March 5th, 1947 in Casper WY. While his father was serving in the military, Greg was raised by the late Martin and Freida Doherty. Greg attended Casper College and the University of Wyoming. He served in the Army.

Greg will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years Sharol Adams; His children: Marti Gross, son-in law Rico Gross, and son Michael Adams; His grandchildren: Isabella Gross, Isai Gross, and Serena Adams; His step-mother Gisela Sager; His half-sister Stephanie Bedwell; His Grand nieces: Kaleigh Pekuri and Mickelle Bisbee; and many more nieces and nephews that he loved. He also leaves behind many friends that he cared for deeply.

Greg spent much of his working life exploring for, developing and producing uranium. He began his career with Exxon, he worked for Power Resources and Cameco in Casper. He worked with several Canadian junior mining companies, developing mines in Wyoming and Paraguay. He was VP Operations for Titan Uranium USA, developing the Sheep Mountain mine near Jeffrey City. He was VP Exploration for UPC Uranium USA Inc., Senior Consultant for CUE Resources Ltd., and President of Adams Consulting Inc.

He loved geology and would happily explain geologic formations to anyone around him.

Greg was an active member of The Elks Club, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Ducks Unlimited.

Greg and Sharol loved to travel. They had many adventures including: Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Spain, Tangier, Hawaii, and a Panama Canal cruise. He enjoyed having a margarita in hand on the beach, sharing a rum and Coke or good whiskey with friends on vacation. He was always happy to chat with a stranger and meet a new friend no matter where he was.

Greg was always up for an adventure. He spent many winters downhill skiing with Sharol, Marti and Mike in Wyoming, Colorado and Utah. He enjoyed taking his kids and grandkids out on ATV's, trying to toss them off a tube in the waves behind his boat and fishing with them. He was passionate about travel, camping, hunting, fishing and his dogs. We know he will have many tails wagging and dog kisses in heaven.

Greg tried to fit over 100 years worth of activities into his 74 years. He truly lived his life to the fullest, didn't hold back, shared his opinions freely, couldn't sit still for more than five minutes and loved his family, friends and dogs. He will be deeply missed by so many.

A celebration of life is planned for July 16th, 2022 at the Elks Lodge at 12:00 pm. Lunch will be provided. If you plan to attend, please contact Sharol at (307)267-8902.
