Greg Tubridy, 63, of Casper Wyoming, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
He was born September 9, 1958, in Casper, Wyoming to George Tubridy and Joan Tubridy (Clark). He grew up in Casper and graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1976.
Greg married Dolly Hibbs on May 18, 1995. They have two boys, Grant Tubridy and Connor Tubridy. Greg and Dolly were later divorced.
Greg studied tirelessly and earned his Master Electrician's license in 1997. He worked in that field for several years until the call to be of service to his community brought him to law enforcement and firefighting.
He found the perfect fit when he joined the Casper/Natrona County international Airport Public Safety Department in 2006. Greg was a valuable part of the Airport Public Safety family for 16 years, achieving the rank of Captain. He held various certifications including Peace Officer Basic, Fire Fighter 1 & 2, and Emergency Medical Responder. He was also an instructor for the Wyoming Regional ARFF Training Facility.
Greg was a kind, caring and generous person. He once said that he was happiest when he was helping people. If you flew in or out of the Natrona County International Airport, chances are Greg may have struck up a conversation with you and helped you in some way.
He volunteered as a mentor with the Casper Police Athletic League at the Casper Boxing Club and loved the time he spent with the young people there. He looked forward each Christmas season to Shop with a Cop and treasured his interactions while shopping with the children who participated in that program.
Greg is survived by his sons, Grant Tubridy and Connor Tubridy; by his father, George Tubridy; by his sister, Jan DeBeer (Steve Bozich); his nephew, Kyle DeBeer (Bryann); his Airport Public Safety family; and so, so many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Tubridy; all of his grandparents and all of his aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in his memory to the Casper Humane Society or the Casper Boxing Club, as he was dedicated to and an advocate for these two organizations.
