Gilbert Madrid Sr.

Gilbert Medina Madrid Sr., 71, of Casper, passed away Jan. 25, 2011.
He was born July 21, 1939 in San Antonio Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Rafael Madrid and Macaria Medina Moralez.
He attended body and fender school and then was employed by Greiner Ford for many years. He then went to Iron Workers school and then worked in construction until retirement. He was united in marriage to Anna Juarez Dec. 1, 1962 in Torrington, WY. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of the Knight's of Columbus. He enjoyed fixing cars and his favorite pastime was fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Anna, 3 sons, Gilbert and Alvan of Las Vegas, NV and Vincent of Casper, 5 grandchildren, Cruz, Jessica, Nicholas, Lauren and Dakota, mother, Macaria Moralez, 5 brothers, Rudy Madrid, Matt Madrid, Ricky Moralez, Alfonso Moralez and Ofrendo Moralez and one sister, Rafaela Domeninquez. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Patsy Moralez.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Sat. Jan. 29, 2011, 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Kevin Koch as celebrant. Recitation of the Rosary will Friday, Jan, 28, 2011, 6:00 PM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
