Georgia was born on June 22, 1918 in Clifton, CO to George A. and Elizabeth (Helm) Stout. She graduated from high school in Grand Junction, CO in 1936 and married Stanley H. "Doc" Divine on April 6, 1938 in Glenwood Springs, CO. The couple worked and lived in the Powder River area for many years. They later moved to Casper and raised one son, Stanley W. Divine, who was born on January 22, 1939.
Georgia held various jobs in the community; among them she worked selling hunting licenses and later worked for several Casper families. She was a long time member of the Winter Memorial Presbyterian Church where she worshiped. She especially enjoyed her activity as a member of the church's Busy Bees where she was able to share recipes and most importantly friendship.
She enjoyed spending time with family and liked to fish when she was younger. Her other hobbies included cooking, crocheting and reading. Family and friends will always remember holiday meals made more special by Georgia's wonderful cuisine.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Betty and Velbert Spomer in W. Sacramento, CA and several nieces and nephews who will miss her caring smile.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Stanley H. Divine, and her son Stanley W. Divine, her brothers W. Merle (Gertrude) Stout, Henry A. (Ardene) Stout, sisters A. Alberta (Bernard) Freeman and Eva Belle (Lawrence) St. John.
The family would like to thank caregivers at the Shepherd of the Valley and a special thank you to Carol Bowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Meals on Wheels or to Central Wyoming Hospice.
