Geneva Lewis Caldwell was born September 10, 1909, at Supply, Arkansas, to Carson Lewis and Elizabeth Spencer Lewis. She died at age 99, in Cody, Wyoming, on January 27, 2009.
As a child, Geneva was known as "Little Good", because she was so well behaved. She loved beautiful flowers, good music, the color red, and her grandchildren. She was very fond of reading and a wonderful speller. Her favorite song was "Somewhere My Love". Geneva was a generous and kind person, always willing to help others and gave them good advice. She was an excellent cook and cooked for several misfortunate people during her lifetime.
Geneva married Dallas Houston Caldwell in December 2, 1928. Dallas and Geneva owned and operated Caldwell Rig Construction Co. for many years. His work took them to live in a great many western states. Dallas preceded her in death on October 22, 1979. Geneva was also a member of Church of Christ most of her life.
Survivors include: daughters, Patricia Jean Guyman of Cody, WY, Elizabeth Jane Moffett, and Birdie Dohl (Dolly) Peak, both of Casper, WY; grandchildren, Leisa Dawn Thomas Ellsworth (husband Don) of Brighton, CO, Linda Jane Moffett of Tucson, AZ, Dana Richard Moffett of Cisco, CA, Dallas Lee Moffett (wife Adrienna) of Casper, WY, Vicki Gale Streeter (husband John) of Cody, WY, Kristi Dohl Caldwell Perez of Rapid City, SD, Billy Houston Caldwell (wife Patty) of Rapid City, SD; step-grandchildren, Neil Guyman (wife Lola) of Lander, WY and Gary Guyman (wife Myra) of Evanston, WY; several great grandchildren and several great great crandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas; son, Billy Houston Caldwell; and grandson, Craig Gene Guyman.
Services are being held Saturday, January 31, 2009, at 11:00am at Newcomer Funeral Home with Chuck Mathews officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
