Gary Dean Janski passed away February 16, 2010 in the Wyoming Medical Center, Casper. He married Cynthia in 1992 and had a son Joey in 1993. Gary had an AA degree in Political Science and an AS degree in Geology.
He enjoyed theater and books very much. He loved reading and acting Mark Twain. Gary had 2 books of his poetry published and was working on the 3rd at the time of his death.
Gary did not blend into a crowd, he always stood out. He loved art and beadwork. He was also learning to write Chinese, Old English, Old German and Egyptian hieroglyphics which he painted on flat rocks. One of his favorite things to say was "When you stop learning, that's when you start dying." Acting and doing his poetry gave him a way to say things he normally may not have gotten to say to people. He was simply and old hippy. Gary was loved by many and will be missed by all. He was truly a character.
Gary is survived by his son Joey of Washington; 2 aunts, Katherine of Casper and Mary Alice of Nebraska; 3 cousins, Judy, Janette and Karl all of Casper; one niece Andrea of California and several 2nd cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers and numerous aunts and uncles.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Memorial contributions may be sent to Janette Jager, 736 N 3rd, Casper, WY 82604. Newcomer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
