Gary Edward Johnson, 62, of Evansville, Wyoming, passed away December 7, 2013. He was born on December 26, 1950. He is preceded in death by his Father, Max Johnson. Surviving family includes, His Wife & Soul Mate, Caridad "Carrie" Johnson; Daughters, AnnaLissa Johnson and Florie (Kelly) Schwindt; Mother, Irene Johnson; Grandchildren, Garrett and Morgan Schwindt; Sister, Sue (Jerry) Stone; Nephew, Mike Stone; and Niece, Cindy (Randy) Williams. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Guadalupe, his duties were acting as a Navy Fireman and Boiler Operator on the ship. During his time serving in the Navy he met his love of his life Carrie. They married in 1972 and started their family. In 1973, Carrie followed Gary to their home in Tacoma, Washington. In 1976 the family relocated to Wyoming where he fell in love with fishing, hunting, horses, anything to do with the outdoors. Gary's favorite times were fishing with his grandchildren and attending all of their activities. He enjoyed gardening and quite moments with his wife and family. He will be remembered as a very tender hearted, kind, and loving soul with a great sense of humor. His friends always knew him by his smile and laugh. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Highland Park Community Church. Burial will follow in Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery, Evansville, Wyoming.
