A Memorial Service will be held for Gail R. "Bud" McCullough, 86, on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery Chapel with Debra Cato officiating.

Bud was born on May 26, 1925 in Ansley, Nebraska to Carl and Alice McCullough. He attended school at Morton school near Kinnear, Wyoming. He joined the Navy at the age of 16 in 1941 and was called into active service 1943 and was honorably discharged in March 1946. While in the Navy he went to Camp Waldron in Farrogut, Idaho and had tours in Honolulu and the Philippines. On June 2, 1946 he married Iris E. Cooper in Pavillion, Wyoming. The couple had two children and later divorced. Bud owned a couple of farms in and around Kinnear and Pavillion. He later lived in Lovell, WY. He worked for NEPCO, Inc. and Newmont Drilling and Mining and Georgia Pacific before retiring. After snowbird living in Arizona, Bud moved to Casper in 1999. He married Eula Scott in 1995 in Gillette, Wyoming.

Bud loved his dog, Bambi. He loved fishing in the Big Horn Mountains and was an avid rock hound. Bud was also a wood worker, gardener, and a bargain hunter. He helped landscape and construct a 9 hole golf course outside of Lovell, Wyoming. He enjoyed his meetings with his fellow vets and was a life long member of the VFW. One trip he enjoyed was going to Washington D.C. as part of the "Honor Flight" in September 2010.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lucille Portlock, brother Alvin "Spark" McCullough and grandson, Dylan, and nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife, Eula, daughters Karleen (Thomas) Brock, and Elaine Gold, and Steven. Grandchildren; Heather, Crystal, and Anthony and 5 great-grandchildren.
