Fredrick "Fred" Albert Lund , 72, of Glenrock, passed away June 24, 2014 at the Wyoming Medical Center.

He was born January 20, 1942 in Laramie, Wyoming, the son of Earl and Anita (Martin) Lund. At an early age the family moved to Kaycee, WY where he was raised and educated. As a young man he work on his family ranches in the Kaycee area. He did a variety of jobs but his passion was always ranching. He married Wife #7, Betty Kumpe on June 1, 1992 in Casper, WY. Fred never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.

He is survived by his Wife, Betty Lund; Son, Shane Lund; Daughter, Misti Firkins; Step-Daughter, Megan (Joey) White; Brother, Kevin (Judy) Lund; Sister-In-Law, Mary Jane (William) Pritchard; Brother-In-Law, Hank Kumpe; 7 Grandchildren; 1 Great Granddaughter; Special Aunt, Mavis Lund; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 28th at 2 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 710 East 2nd Street, Casper, WY 82601. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his wife, Betty Lund to help with expense.
