A mass for Frederick William "Fred" Budack, 76, will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima in Casper, Wyoming followed by a reception.
He passed away Wednesday May 23, 2012 at Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions Center after a long battle with COPD. Fred was born May 28,1935 and was raised in Broadview, Illinois. He attended St. Eulaila parochial school, St. Phillips Catholic High School in Chicago and Marquette University in Milwaukee.
At age 16 Fred earned his private pilot's license. He joined the Air Force Cadets in 1955. He married Darlene on July 7, 1956. After spending 18 months in San Antonio, Fred built their house in Glenn Ellen, Illinois. There they raised their three children and Fred worked as a carpenter. In 1976 he moved his family to Casper where he worked as a charter pilot for Casper Air Service.
Fred and Darlene loved to square dance. He enjoyed collecting stamps and working with model trains.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Darlene Budack, daughter Karen Sabatka, Casper, Wyoming: son Kevin Budack/daughter-in-law Deanna, Casper, Wyoming: daughter Lenore Deibert/son-in-law Brad Deibert, Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and 8 grandchildren.
