CASPER -- Funeral Liturgy for Frances Pauline Pedry, 81, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Carr and Msgr. James O'Neill concelebrating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery
She died May 24, 2007, at Central Wyoming Hospice Home.
She was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Walhalla, S.C., the daughter of Paul Patrick Harkins and Bertha Johanna Ritter.
She was raised in northern Florida, graduating from Greenwood High School.
She married John J. Pedry on Dec. 19, 1945 in Marianna, Fla.
She moved to Casper in 1951 when her husband took a position with Standard Oil as a geologist.
She received an associate's degree from Casper College and was a journalist at the Casper Star-Tribune during the 1970's.
She was active in GeoWives, St. Anthony's Church, and various community organizations.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially at the beach in Florida where she and her husband spent many winters.
Survivors include her husband of Casper, children, David Pedry of Casper, Catherine Grieve, Portland, Ore., Dan Pedry, Longmont, Colo., and Mark Pedry, Oak Hill, Va.; three sisters, Catherine Jensen, Greenwood, Fla., Lorraine Williams, Malone, Fla., and Julia Gilbert, Orlando, Fla.; 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, George Harkins; sister, Madeline Rountree and three grandchildren.
