Forrest Edward Horton was born in Douglas, Wyoming on Jan 26, 1937, where him, his sisters and brothers, Edith, Norma, Lucille, Alva and Glen were raised by a single mother, Georgianna Christina Hiser Horton. After graduating from Douglas High, he enlisted in the Navy. He relocated back to Wyoming, now in Casper. He met and married Marilynn O'Clair on February 14, 1980 and helped raise her kids, 2 daughters, Melissa Shumaker and her husband Ernie, Nicole Thompson her husband Wade and 2 sons, Matthew Schluning with his wife Megan, and Levi Shumaker, Kids, Jeff Robertson, Amanda Whitlock and her husband, Harlan, her daughter, Kimber Whitlock, Briley and Patrick Mills, and Son, Clint Robertson and his wife Kelly Kadlick and children, Cammy, Dayna, Shelby and Emily. As well as many foster and neighbor kids.
He worked a variety of jobs, most recent approximately 20 years for RC Cab as a driver. He passed on October 7, 2019 at Shepherd of the Valley after a short battle with cancer, he was 82.
He was the last of his immediate family and was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Newcomer Casper Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 1:00pm at Douglas Congregational United Church of Christ, with interment and military honors to follow at Douglas Park Cemetery.
