Floyd Edward Hawley, age 77, of Casper, passed away July 27, 2017 at Poplar Living Center surrounded by his loving family. Floyd was born May 18, 1940 in Torrington, Wyoming to Charles and Elsie (Barkman) Hawley. In 1963, Floyd enlisted into the United States Air Force where he flew Phantom F-4 jets while serving in Vietnam and in Germany. Floyd graduated from University of Wyoming with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineer Degree. He then obtained his Master's Degree from the University of Southern California. After the Air Force, he was employed with McDonald Douglas as a Aerospace Project Manager. After returning to Wyoming, he became the president of Wyoming Central Aeroways. He was employed with the Darenco Inc. and then Stewart Stevenson for more than 20 years until retiring. He was an avid writer and bridge player. Floyd was a member of First United Methodist and a past President of the Kiwanis Club and a member of Pathfinder Lodge 42 in Casper, Wyoming.

He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Joyce Ann Hawley, Daughter, Renee Boundy, Son, Scott (Jennifer) Hawley, Daughter, Katrina Hawley, Sisters, Charlene Davis, Elsie Mae Cofer, and Dorothy Zavorka, 4 grandchildren, Kyle Boundy, Leif Boundy, Nathan Hawley, and Zach Hawley, numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel, 710 East Second Street. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, Wyoming.

Memorial contributions may be made to Central Wyoming Senior Center or Meals On Wheels in Floyd's memory.
