Floyd Andrews

June 7, 1941 — March 24, 2017

A memorial service will be held for Floyd Andrews, 75, at Newcomer Funeral Home on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 2:00pm.

Floyd passed away peacefully, March 24th, in the care of hospice. He was born June 7th to Charles and Dorothy Andrews. He was the youngest of 5 children. He grew up in the fields of Nebraska and Wyoming. He loved the outdoors and was always looking for his next mischievous adventure. He then went on to marry Judy Shill and they eventually settle in Worland together. They had two children, Penny and Dee Ann.

Floyd worked for Crown, Cork and Seal in Worland. He was a machinist after learning the trade at Casper College. He retired from Crown after 18 years and moved closer to his grandchildren and daughter. He was never one to sit still; he went to work for Grimshaw Investments in Casper as their maintenance man. This kept him busy and full of stories to tell.

Floyd and Judy had a passion for antiques and collectibles. They both enjoyed traveling to toy and doll shows around the country. Floyd had a keen eye for antiques and proudly displayed his treasures.

Besides his family, the next important thing in Floyd's life was his bulldogs. He adored them and even bred them for a time. His house was full of bulldog statues and pictures.

Family was the most important thing in Floyd's life. He was close to all of his siblings and their children. He loved being a father, grandfather, husband, brother, son, and uncle. He spoiled his two children and always made sure they had everything they could ever want. He continued this onto his grandchildren, Kody and Kattie.

Floyd is survived by his daughter Dee Ann Wood (Chad) and her two children, Kody and Kattie Marcus; his brother, Bernard (Mary); sister, Ida (Doug), several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy, daughter, Penny, his parents, and sisters, Audrey and Marian.
