Evelyn L. Sullivan
Mass of Christian Burial for Evelyn L. Sullivan will be Wed. Jan. 12, 2011, 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father August Koeune and Monsignor James O'Neill as celebrants. Visitation will be Tuesday at Newcomer Funeral Home from 6PM to 7PM with a Rosary at 7PM.
A long time Casper resident, Evelyn passed from this earth to be with our Lord on Jan. 5, 2011 in Valley View, TX. She was born Nov. 23, 1925 in Big Horn, WY the daughter of Mary and Elmer Connolly. She grew up with eight brothers and sisters in the rural setting of North Central Wyoming. She moved to Casper and was married to Gerald Francis Sullivan in Sept. 8, 1949.
Evelyn worked for St. Anthony's parish rectory as a house manager and cook for many years. Upon her retirement she was actively involved in the Adoration of the Blessed sacrament group at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Jean (Mike) Hurd of Colo. Springs, CO, two sons, Dan Sullivan of Buffalo, WY and Barry Sullivan of of Thornton, CO, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald and two sisters, Esther West and Anna Belle Weltner.
Throughout her life she was a devoted with and caring mother and grandmother and will be in our hearts always.
