CASPER -- Services for Evelyn Henley, 89, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Newcomer Family Funeral Home with John Marshall from First Baptist Church officiating. Burial is in Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery.
Viewing is Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m., at the funeral home.
She died March 21, 2007, at Central Wyoming Hospice Home.
She was born May 4, 1917, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of William Austin Holland and Eva Heaston.
She was raised and educated in Longmont, Colo., and married James Powell on Feb. 6, 1937.
She moved to Glenrock in 1948 and to Casper in 1949, where she was a member of The First Baptist Church until the time of her death.
She worked at Walgreens, Zales Jewelry and Casper Credit Bureau before retiring.
Her hobbies were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, in other words, her family.
Survivors include her son, James Henley of Casper; her daughters, Deborah Hiatt of Casper and Evadene Drown of Denver;
a sister, Louise Matlack, Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters, one brother and one great-granddaughter.

Newcomer Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
