CASPER -- Viewing for Eugene "Pete" Otto Peters, 62, will take place today from 5 to 7 p.m., at Newcomer Family Funeral Home.
Services will be held later in Belleville, Kan., with burial in Tabor Cemetery, Munden, Kan.
He died Jan. 1, 2008, in Casper.
He was born April 19.1945, in Belleville, Kan., the son of Otto Taft Peters and Ethel Mae Eickman.
He grew up in Cuba, Kan., attending local country schools, and graduated from Narka High School in 1962
He graduated from Kansas State University.
After serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, he returned to the family farm in Cuba, Kan., where he worked until 1994. He then worked on various ranch/farms in Wyoming and Montana.
In 2003, he drove a logging truck in Georgia until coming to Casper in 2005, where he was a truck driver for PC Transport.
He enjoyed horses, family and social functions.
He was a member of the Cuba, Kan., Masonic Lodge AF & AM #362 for 44 years.
Survivors include two sons, Matthew Peters, Munden, Kan., and Michael Shawn Woolsey, Belleville, Kan.; a sister, Clarice Peters of Fairfax, Va.; two granddaughters and a great-grandson and his companion, Avie Peeples of Casper.
