Emma Margaret Schoonover, 98, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025.
She was born in Greenwood, Wisconsin, to Frances and George Schreiner and was one of fifteen children. Emma graduated from Rib Lake High School in 1945. She married Robert E. Schoonover on May 8, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois. In 1959, the couple settled in Casper, where they raised their four children.
Emma worked as a waitress in Casper and Mills at Saddle Rock, the Green Derby, Holiday Inn, and the Ramada Inn. She was known for her spicy spirit and strong work ethic. She enjoyed clogging at the senior center, crafting, and tending to the flowers in her yard.
She is survived by her children: Gordon (Cherie) Schoonover, Sandra (Ron) Kidder, Russell (Nancy) Schoonover, and Roger Schoonover, all of Casper; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, a great-grandson, and her 10 brothers and 4 sisters. A private family graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 15, at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Gardens in Casper.

your choice.
