Betty was born in Butte Montana on March 17th, 1928. She was the daughter of George Bryan and Pauline Yates. Betty spent the first 20 years of her life living in Butte, graduating from Butte High School, and Mc Carroll's School of Cosmetology. After graduation, she married James Whiteside on April 4, 1947. She and Jim moved to Bozeman for a year and moved back to Butte, where daughter Donna and son William were born. In 1962, Jim's work took them to Billings Montana where they remained until June of 2019, when they moved to Casper Wyoming to be closer to family. They were married 72 years until Jim's death in 2020. Betty remained in Casper until her death December 5, 2022. She spent her life mostly as a homemaker while her family needed her.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Fisher and husband Richard in Casper Wyoming, her son Bill and his wife Janice in Sacramento, California. They have 4 grandchildren, Dan Fisher (Lacy and her daughter Faith), Dinae (Brian) Slagley, Erin Holland and Bryan (Coreena) Whiteside, and 5 great grandchildren, Slayder Fisher, Josh and Alex Slagley, Clara and Isaac Whiteside.
The memorial service will be postponed due to weather and will be rescheduled in the summer.
