Elizabeth Elyne Howard, 28, of Rawlins WY, passed away at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper on November 12, 2013 after a three and a half month illness. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
Beth was born on March 18, 1985 in Casper Wyoming to John and Patricia (Morris) Howard.
She was a 2003 graduate of Rawlins High School and attended Casper College, majoring in Hospitality Management.
Beth worked in several areas of the hotel industry, starting in housekeeping while in high school and later moved into front desk, night auditor and management intern positions.
She was also formerly employed at the Rawlins Daily Times newspaper and at Carbon County Child Development in Rawlins and worked at Knife River Contractor Supply while living in Casper.
Beth was a kind and gentle person who took delight in the holidays, special occasions and celebrations. She liked to decorate for holidays and especially enjoyed helping to prepare big holiday meals for her family. She was a good cook and was always ready to experiment with new foods and recipes.
Beth enjoyed NASCAR and was an enthusiastic fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. She also enjoyed traveling with friends and family.
During quiet times, she liked reading, listening to music, social media and hanging out with her buddy Hermione, the family cat.
Beth is survived by her father of Rawlins, and her brother Thomas of Casper, as well as by numerous aunts and uncles including Jerry and Debbie Howard of New Iberia, LA, Joel Howard of Casper, John and Jean Stemper of Fort Collins, CO, Dean and Julie Grayson of Casper, Don and Maryl Morris of Willits, CA, Woody and Lynne Barlow of Eureka Springs, AR, and Barb Hachey of Parkville, MO and by ten cousins. She is also survived by her grandmother Shirley Howard of Casper.
She was preceded in death by her mother and three grandparents; James D. Howard, Elinor Morris and Donald Morris.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 18 at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Casper, WY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyoming Medical Center Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
